Prayerstream Volunteer Driver
The Prayerstream will be coming to a university location near you and Fusion is looking to recruit drivers who are willing to tow The Prayerstream for a leg of the journey. If you have a heart for Student Mission, prayer, and you would like to be involved in carrying prayers from one city to the next, this is a perfect opportunity for you.
This is unpaid, but expenses for you to get to and from the location will be covered.
Drivers are expected to tow for one leg of the tour, however we would love to invite you to do more if you would be interested.
The Prayerstream is a mobile space of prayer and contending for God to move on our campuses, crying out for students to find their hope in Jesus and a home in the local church. It is also an opportunity for deeper partnership with local churches across the nation, catalysing prayer and mission together as one united Church to see a generation of students meet with Jesus.
What this role will involve
- Collecting The Prayerstream from one location
- Towing The Prayerstream safely to the next stop of the tour
- Handing over to a local church and Fusion team member when The Prayerstream arrives
- Transporting students and equipment to the next location
- Carrying prayer and mission around the United Kingdom
What we will provide
- A towing vehicle and The Prayerstream with comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover
- Full journey details and support for your leg of the tour
- Transport arrangements to get you home
- Reasonable expenses covered whilst on the road
- Any additional guidance needed from the Fusion Team
A leg of the tour will likely be a single day commitment, if this is not the case and you would like to tow a longer distance, we will arrange for an overnight stay on the way. The length of the legs are varied and we will work with you to find one which meets your needs.
What we need from you
- A full UK driving license
- Confidence in driving and towing
- Experience is helpful, but not required
- Comfort driving long distances
- A heart for students and student mission
